I was afraid the Tie Bar would look too large and tacky to be worn in conservative work settings, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is a small tie bar that has the appearance of polished silver (it's actually rhodium plating). It's the kind of tie bar style that crosses over about 2/3 of the necktie, as opposed to the styles that would run across the entire tie (maybe it could cover a skinny tie). The star is about the size of a standard men's dress shirt button-maybe a little larger.

I've been gifted Cowboys novelty ties, but I may only find a couple opportunities to wear them per season. This tie bar allows you to continue to wear drab, "work-approved" neckwear, while adding a little team spirit to your everyday attire.

I don't normally comment on presentation, but the storage box is also neat and would surely add to the excitement of gifting the tie bar to a Cowboys fan. The bar sits on what looks like a piece of turf inside the magnetic-clasped box.

In short, I purchased it as a gamble and it worked out well. The seller was also good with shipping. I had to receive the gift by a particular date, and it was received well within the estimated delivery window.

My son likes to get Dallas Cowboy neckties for dad for Christmas and birthdays. Unfortunately, DH finds it difficult to wear these ties to work, not because of any lack of team loyalty, but because they don't usually go with his suits. So this year DS decided on a nice tie-bar. It can be worn with almost any tie and looks really nice.

The tie bar was smaller than i expected but turned out great. I gave it to my friend as a gift and he loved it! It's not too flashy and it comes in a really cute box. It's a great gift for any Steelers fan!
